Born in Rochester, NY and was adopted by my mother Beverly when I was 10 days old.
Enrolled into North Carolina A&T State University as an accounting major and met my crew!
Gave birth to my first son, Trevor, alongside my husband-to-be, David.
Graduated from North Carolina A&T State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
Enrolled into the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign’s Masters program.
Graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Master of Science in Taxation.
Worked as a tax accountant with KPMG (an international accounting firm) and taught accounting at Spelman College before leaving to start my own business.
David and I got married!
Gave birth to my second son, Cameron.
Started my company, Envision Business Management Group, which would grow to become a multi-million-dollar boutique firm that provides accounting, business management, and other financial-related services for high-profile clients in the entertainment industry.
Became an on-air financial expert for Radio One Atlanta, and began teaching financial seminars at the station.
Landed my first major client that I met at the radio station– he’d go on to become Grammy-award winning hip hop artist, Ludacris.
My mother passed away, but gave me the greatest gift before she died by having an estate plan (which eventually inspired me to focus on this through Black Women Will).
Became a financial expert in media for nationally syndicated radio shows, such as the Rickey Smiley Morning Show and Willie Moore Jr. Show.
Continued thriving in the entertainment industry through my company Envision Business Management Group, serving current and previous clients such as:

Inspired to start my financial literacy company, Thank Me Later, during the COVID-19 pandemic to empower Black women with money.
Hosted Thank Me Later’s first Black Women Will event, where we completed wills FOR FREE for educated, professional Black women in Atlanta.
Published my first book, Take Care Of Your Damn Self, a curriculum teaching parents how to raise financially independent young adults.
Hosted our second Black Women Will event, which confirmed that we really are transforming lives through estate planning!
Honored to be the commencement speaker at my alma mater, North Carolina A&T State University.
